Summary:
This position will assist the HR Generalist and HR Manager in the completion of everyday tasks to include recruitment, benefits, leave administration, training, and employee services.
This position will be required to pull monthly reports for the management team.
This position will promote the HR best practices of the department and work to assist all employees in their everyday requests.
Work is performed under the direction of the HR Generalist.
Hours:
Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm Pay Range:

Essential Functions:
Maintain all HR files including employee personnel files, records, documents, and other files Work with City Clerk's office on the completion of public records requests.
Complete the day-to-day processes such as filing, data entry, and special projects Assist in the recruitment process including job postings, interview scheduling, and pre-employment verifications Assist in the facilitation of onboarding to include creating new hire packets and informing candidates of the day and time of the orientation Work with HR Generalist and HR Manager on the coordination of HR activities and compliance regulations Prepare monthly operational reports for management team on a bi-monthly basis Conduct self-audits in the HR department to ensure compliance with Federal regulations Assist in the evaluations of personnel practices to ensure adherence to regulations Assist with workers' compensation claims, FMLA leave, and benefits administration Prepare personnel action forms, memos, and correspondence when necessary for the department Coordinate and ensure completion of annual compliance documentation each year within the department Handles the employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors and vendors.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR subject areas Maintain service award process Regular in-person attendance during City and department business hours, since face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees, outside colleagues, residents, or vendors, and all immediate access to documents or other information located only in the workplace is required Minimal
Qualifications:
Associate degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field required At minimum two (2) years of experience with recruitment or benefits At minimum two (2) years of experience with handling leave administration
